Paul Dailly

Senior Vice President, Exploration<br/>Founding Partner
As an exploration geologist, Paul Dailly has participated in the exploration and appraisal of major discoveries from the North Sea to Southeast Asia and Africa. During the last several years, Dailly has coordinated the building to drill-out of Kosmos’ exploration portfolio and the transitioning of the company’s several Ghanaian discoveries from appraisal to development.

Dailly was the geologist and technical team leader responsible for exploration and appraisal of Triton Energy’s eight oil field discoveries offshore Equatorial Guinea. Earlier with Triton, he was involved in the acquisition and exploration of licenses in Indonesia, Madagascar and China. Following the sale of Triton to Amerada Hess Corporation (subsequently Hess Corporation) in 2001, he served as Hess’s exploration technical team leader in Equatorial Guinea and later as regional exploration manager in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

Before joining Triton, Dailly worked for BP, where he was involved in the exploration and appraisal of the Mungo and Monan fields in the central North Sea and the Lan Tay and Lan Do gas fields in Vietnam. Dailly began his career at BP as an exploration geologist, serving in a number of the company’s international businesses.

Dailly graduated from Edinburgh University and holds a PhD in geology from the University of Oxford.
